Obituary

TEWKSBURY: Priscilla J. (Burns) Uhrich, age 66, a resident of Tewksbury for the past 38 years, died Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Saints Medical Center in Lowell.
She was the wife of Lawrence A. Uhrich, with whom she celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on August 10, 2007.
Born in Stoneham, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Marguerite (Ellis) Burns.
Mrs. Uhrich was raised in Stoneham, MA, Middleton, Nova Scotia, Canada.
She attended and later graduated from the former Christian High School in Cambridge, with the Class of 1959. Following graduation, she attended Taylor University in Upland, Indiana, where she received her B.S. Degree in English in 1963.
Prior to her retirement in 2007, she was employed for 30 years as an educator by the Shawsheen Valley Technical High School of Billerica.
Mrs. Uhrich resided in Reading, MA until moving to Tewksbury in 1970.
She was a member of the Fellowship Bible Church of Methuen.
According to her family, she loved to travel and spend time with her granddaughters.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Kimberly J. Illsley and her husband Bruce of Spartanburg, SC and Laurie A. Uhrich of Tewksbury;one son, Douglas L. Uhrich and his wife Stacey of Easley, SC; six granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Megan and Rachel Illsley all of Spartanburg, SC and Aubrey, Madelyn and Hannah Uhrich all of Easley, SC one brother, N. Channing Burns and his wife Sandy of Zellwood, FL; also many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Uhrich was the mother of the late Edward A. Uhrich and sister of the late John Burns.
Calling hours Wednesday, Feb, 27, 3-5 & 7-9 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral service Thursday, Feb. 28, at 11 a.m., at the Fellowship Bible Church, One Fellowship Way, Methuen. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Fellowship Bible Church, 1 Fellowship Way, Methuen, MA 01844 or to the American Diabetes Assoc., 330 Congress St., # 501, Boston, MA 02210, www.diabetes.org, are requested.
