Carol Ann (Carmody) Lyons 67, of Franklin, died Monday February 25, 2008 at Caritas Norwood Hospital following an illness. She was the wife of Richard F. Lyons.
Born November 15, 1940 in Waltham a daughter of the late John T. and Alice M. (Havey) Carmody, she was raised and educated in Concord, and lived there until moving to Franklin 45 years ago.
Mrs. Lyons retired in 2002 from the Wrentham State School, as a supervisor where she had worked for more than 25 years.
She was devoted to her children and grandchildren and was also an avid reader, traveler, and also enjoyed the theater. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 47 years are two sons, John T. Lyons of Westborough, Richard J. Lyons and his wife Susan of Wrentham, two daughters, Linda A. Lyons of Branford, Connecticut and Lisa M. Lyons of Salem. Also surviving are her sisters Eileen Mallinson and her husband Don of Middletown, Rhode Island and Allie M. Corsetti of Cary, North Carolina and two grandchildren Abigael G. Lyons and Aidan J. Lyons and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Thursday February 28, 2008 at 8:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. (www.franklinfuneral.com) with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. Franklin at 9AM. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
