Kenneth W. Murphy, 65, of Bedford died February 7, 2003 at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA after a brief illness.
Born in Boston, MA on March 16, 1937, he was the son of George F. and Ethel (Kinney) Murphy. He has lived in Bedford for many years.
During the early 1960’s he served in the U.S. Navy. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Boston University and a master’s degree from the Sloan School in Connecticut.
Mr. Murphy worked as a computer executive in Canada and the United States for many years.
The family includes his wife of 41 years, Lynn (Miner) Murphy of Bedford; two children, Kimberley M. Wilson of Rye, NY and Kenneth W. Murphy Jr. of Andover, MA; four grandchildren; a brother, George F. Murphy of Bethesda, MD; and a sister, Virginia Deady of Bedford.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday February 12, 2003 in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford. Burial of cremated remains was in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
