ENG, SHANG L. "EDDIE" age 81 of San Francisco, formerly of Newport, RI. on February 23, 2008. Beloved husband of So Har “Sue” Eng. Loving father of Wayne and his wife Terry Eng of Milton, James and his wife Maryanne Eng of Braintree, Mamie and her husband Scott Spelfogel of Sharon, Harry and his wife Susan Eng of Middletown, RI. Dear grandfather of Brian, Steven, Jamie, Grace and Gregory Eng, Sara and Daniel Spelfogel. He also leaves a sister, Lilly Yee of Randolph. From 1966 to 1990, Edddie was the owner of the Hong Kong Restaurant in Newport, RI. For the past eleven years Eddie and his wife Sue enjoyed their retirement in San Francisco, CA. This past November they returned home to be closer to their children. Tragically, Eddie suffered a brief illness and died peacefully at Caritas Carney Hospital in Dorchester. A Chinese Funeral Rite will be held at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) JAMAICA PLAIN on Wednesday February 27 beginning at 11:30 AM. The funeral procession will depart for Forest Hills Cemetery at 1 PM. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-9 PM
