George A, Ferrier of Needham died on Thursday, February 21 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He was 87 years old. Born in New York, he was a graduate of Syracuse University. George was a US Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired cost estimator, having worked for various companies in the wire and cable industry. George was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Needham and was an avid gardener. The son of the late George L. and Catherine (Fraser) Ferrier, he leaves his sister Jean I. Ferrier of Needham and his cousin of Edward Sims and his wife Kay of Petersham. George is also survived by cousins in Scotland and England. A Funeral Service will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Monday, February 25 at 12 Noon. Visitation will be held from 11:30 to noon prior to the service. Interment at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Brookline. In lieu of flowers donations n George’s name may be made to the Presbyterian Church in Needham, 1458 Great Plain Ave Needham MA 02492.
