Lucy Pearl Peters Perry, 91, of Tifton died Thursday, February 21, 2008, at Tift Health Care. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2008, at the First Assembly of God in Tifton. Rev. O. L. Stokes and Rev. Eddie Hutcheson will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Lamar Brooks, Fred Horne, Bo Purvis, Bobby Hobby, Mike McBrayer and Clyde Selph. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 24, 2008, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The family will be meeting at the home of James and Shirley Peters at 103 Iniss Road in Tifton.
Ms. Perry was born on June 9, 1916 in Tift County and was the daughter of Charles Edward Peters and Annie Futch Peters, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Mancil Perry; and several brothers and sisters. She was a retired nurse and a member of Tifton's First Assembly of God.
Ms. Perry is survived by her nieces and nephews, Edward and Betty Peters of Nashville, and Velera Peters of Tifton; her grand nieces and nephews, James, Jr. and Shirley Peters of Tifton, Glenda and Ron Seper of Tifton, Bill and Janice Tyson of Tifton, Jimmy and Norma Terrell of Norman Park, and Grace and Elton Taylor; and her great grand nieces and nephews, Jeremy and Jennifer Peters, and Kayla Peters Douglas.
