Obituary

Mary A. Ainsworth, 71, of Weare, NH, died Wednesday, February 20, 2008 in her home. Mrs. Ainsworth was born in Cambridge, MA on March 25, 1936, a daughter of the late George and Catherine M. (Halloran) Donovan. She was a resident of Weare for over 20 years, formerly living in Chester, NH. Mrs. Ainsworth was a graduate of Cambridge Latin High School in Cambridge, MA. She had been employed as a CNA for the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood, NH, and had then been employed in private care nursing. Mrs. Ainsworth was very involved in donating to specific causes, especially the WWII Memorial and numerous others. She was known to be witty; and she enjoyed life, spending time at her home and was proud of her Irish heritage. Mrs. Ainsworth was a very loving and caring person who was not reluctant to help the less fortunate.
She is survived by two sons, Robert C. Mossman and his wife Karen P. Mossman of Loudon, NH, and Kevin Mossman of Manchester, NH; one daughter, Charlene Farley of Haverhill, MA; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Helen Catuna of Sun City, AZ; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Col. Raymond P. Ainsworth, and her first husband Charles R. Mossman.
Calling hours were held on Sunday, February 24th from 1 - 4pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes, 15 Birch St., Derry. A graveside service will be held in the Great Hill Cemetery, Chester in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the charity of one's choice.
