James B. Cooper
...Tewksbury Resident, 73
TEWKSBURY - James B. Cooper, age 73, died Monday, February 18, at Tewksbury Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Mary Ellen (Trainor) Cooper.
He was born on December 23, 1934, in Brighton, a son of the late James B. and M. Regina (Fossett) Cooper. He was raised in Cambridge.
He was a veteran of the Army National Guard and was an insurance adjuster before retiring. He was active with Tewksbury Youth Baseball and an avid sports fan, especially of the Patriots, Red Sox and local softball.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children; Patty Jo (Cooper) Hanley and her husband David of Wilmington, Mary Ellen Cooper of Tewksbury, Anne Marie (Cooper) Valdina and her husband John of Dracut, TJ Cooper of Tewksbury, Kevin J. Cooper of Tewksbury, Brian Cooper and his wife Karen (Lenihan) of Milford, NH, Bobby Cooper of Tewksbury, Teddy Cooper of Newton: nine grandchildren; David, Derek, and Alyssa Hanley, Michael, Jay and Kimarie Collins, Jenelle, Andrew and Kathleen Valdina: one great grandchild, Michael R. Collins; sisters Louise Ryan of KS, and Jeanne Naumnik of FL, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was the father of the late James B. "Jimma" Cooper.
