Mildred Cavender King, 88, of Tift Health Care died Thursday, February 21, 2008, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2008, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Terrell Roberts will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 23, 2008, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. King was born on April 29, 1919 in Heard County and was the daughter of Issac Cavender and Ammon Marshal Cavender, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bailous C. King; three brothers and one sister. She was a homemaker and also worked at Armour and Company. She was of the Baptist faith.
Ms. King is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Catherine King of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Ray Miller of Tifton; eight grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren.
