LOWELL - William J. Bomil, Sr. 88, a longtime Lowell resident, died Wednesday February 20th at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Lowell. He was the husband of the late Blanche T. (Kisiolek) Bomil who died in 1986.
He was born in Lowell on February 22, 1919, and was the son of the late William and Anna (Velbretie) Bomil. He received his education in Lowell schools.
Prior to his retirement in March of 1990, Mr. Bomil was employed for many years as a school custodian by the Town of Tewksbury. Earlier in his career he was employed by John Glennie Rendering Co. in North Andover.
He is survived by three sons William J. Bomil Jr. and his wife Lorraine of Lowell, John P. Bomil of Lowell, and Thomas F. Bomil and his wife Brenda of Dracut; seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, on 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Sunday, from 2 until 6 PM. His funeral will be held from the funeral home on Monday at 8:15 AM followed by his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:30 AM at St. Margaret Church in Lowell. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to the Heritage Resident Council, 1st Flr, 841 Merrimack St., Lowell, MA 01854.
