Obituary

Stella E. Trop 70 died Monday February 18th after a period of failing health. She was the wife of Myron E. Trop, Sr.

Born in Middleboro she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Louise (Whitehead) Wilmot.

Stella grew up in Middleboro and Whitman and was a graduate of Whitman High in 1955. She later moved to Halifax where she resided for over forty years.

She worked for the Telephone Company after high school and before she married in 1956, then choosing to remain at home to raise her family. After her children had grown she worked as a home health aide for the elderly.

She was a phenomenal cook and baker, and enjoyed camping, reading and especially walking her dog Mindy. She could be found in her yard doing gardening, raking and burning, all of which she truly enjoyed.

In addition to her loving husband she is survived by her daughters Cindy L. Trop and Richard Benson of Maine and Holly J. Fitts of West Bridgewater and her fiancé Robert Novish, Jr. of Middleboro, her sons Myron E. Trop Jr. and his wife Holly of Plympton, Jeffrey A. Trop and his wife Rebecca of Carver and Steven L. Trop and his wife Nancy of Halifax, one sister Dolores Matrisciano of Middleboro and one brother Alfred Wilmot, Jr. of CA. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in her name to the Lupus Foundation of America, Box 631047, Baltimore, MD 21263-1047.
