Pearle S. (Schwartz) Eich, a longtime resident of Peabody entered into eternal rest on February 18, 2008 at Renaissance Gardens Nursing Home of Brooksby Village in Peabody. She was 93 years old.
Born in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late Maurice & Celia (Handler) Schwartz. Mrs. Eich was raised in Chelsea where she attended school and graduated from high school. She was employed for many years at the Naval Hospital in Chelsea and later for the National Park Service in Boston. She was a life member of Hadassah, the Jewish Memorial Hospital, sisterhood of Temple Emmanuel of Chelsea, sisterhood of Cong. Tifereth Israel of Everett, life member of the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home, & a member of NA’AMAT - U.S.A.
Mrs. Eich is survived by her beloved son, Edward Eich & his wife Jayme Shorin of Cambridge; her cherished grandson, Aiden; & brothers James Schwartz of FL & Bernard Schwartz of Peabody. She was predeceased by her brothers Phillip & Irving Schwartz.
Funeral service will be held in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq) CHELSEA on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Chelsea Jewish Community Center Cemetery in Danvers. Memorial observance will be held on Thursday from 1-3 PM at Renaissance Gardens at Brooksby Village, 400 Brooksby Village Dr. Peabody & on Saturday evening from 6-8 PM at the home of Ed Eich & Jayme Shorin, Cambridge.
