Maurice Irvin `Rocky` Appleton Maurice Irvin `Rocky` Appleton, 59, Clarksville, died Friday, February 15, 2008, at his residence. The funeral will be held at 11 am Monday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Brother Paul Moody officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Sunday and from 9 am until the hour of the service Monday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born July 21, 1948 in Clarksville, TN, son of Glen Appleton and Anne Blackwell Plymale. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother Daniel Appleton. Rocky was a member of Fellowship United Methodist Church and a member of the American Motorcycle Association. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Anne and Bill Plymale, Clarksville; a son, Joshua Appleton, Silt, CO; a daughter, Jessi Appleton, Long Mont, CO; two brothers, Glen Appleton, Jr, Murfreesboro; and Jon Appleton, Florida; eight sisters, Glenda Appleton Clardy, Clarksville; Tandy Appleton Black, Clarksville; Kelly Appleton, Murfreesboro; Lisa Appleton, Clarksville; Gwen Appleton Griffy, Clarksville; Mary Kathryn Appleton, Clarksville; Michelle Appleton, Woodbury,TN; and Glynnis Appleton, Seattle, WA. Pallbearers will be Michael Bond, Mark Holleman, Glendon Black, John Clardy, Jr., John Morgan, Glen Appleton, Jr, Marlon Williams, Norris Heggie, and Horace Heggie.
