Obituary

Salem: Rose A. (Rainville) Carnevale, age 89 of Salem, died Wednesday, February 13, 2008, at the Lafayette Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Home in Marblehead, following a long illness. She was the wife of Alfred R. Carnevale, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage.
Born in Salem and raised in Pawtucket, RI, She was the daughter of the late Henry A. and Rose Anna (Pelletier)Rainville. She and her family later lived in Adams. Rose settled in Pittsfield, where she worked for General Electric and in the early 1940’s transferred to GE’s Lynn plant. In 1946 Rose married Al and shortly after left GE to raise their family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who in addition to enjoying her family she also enjoyed many hobbies; painting, puzzles, needlework and her neighborhood card games. She was a member of Ste. Anne Parish in Salem. Rose will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her smile.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 sons: Anthony P. Carnevale and his wife Joan of Salem, Joseph C. Carnevale of Salem, 3 daughters: Marie F. Sinibaldi of Weymouth, Theresa R. Sylvain and her husband Leo of Manchester, NH, Annette Pezzulo of Salem. 11 grandchildren: Anthony P. Carnevale, Jr., Andrew Carnevale and his wife Julie L., Tiffany, Alison, Jessica & Julie Carnevale, Eric Sinibaldi and his wife Allison, Marc Sinibaldi, Danielle Sylvain, Nicolas & Dominic Pezzulo. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her son Alfred R. Carnevale, Jr., her sister Margaret Careau, and her son-in-law, Pasquale Pezzulo, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 10 am from the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem, followed by her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, Jefferson Ave., Salem at 11 am. Visiting hours: Friday 4 to 8 pm. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
