Of Needham, February 10. Beloved husband of the late Amelia M. (Picardi) Fiumara. Devoted father of Grace M. Janek and her husband Bruce F. of Needham. Grandfather of John W. Janek. Brother of Dr. Nicholas J. Fiumara of Belmont, Nancy and Agnes Fiumara of Roslindale and the late Joseph and Mary Fiumara. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Graduate of Boston College High School, 1936, Boston College, 1940 and Boston College Law School, 1943. He become one of the first persons in Massachusetts history to pass the Bar Exam 6 months prior to graduating from Boston College Law School. Appointed General Counsel to the Solicitor General of the United States National Labor Relations Board in Washington, DC. Member of the Mass Bar, Federal Bars and the U.S. Supreme Court Bar. Tenured Professor of Law at Northeastern University in Boston. He was in the practice of law with former Attorney General Edward J. McCormack, Jr. in Boston and Washington, DC. Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., (Exit 19B off Rte. 128), NEEDHAM Friday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Bartholomew's Church, Needham at 10 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Needham.
