BEVERLY - Walter David Jaworski, 68, of Beverly, died February 9, 2008 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, following a long illness.
Born in Beverly, he was the son of the late John W. and Mema (Martelli) Jaworski.
A Vietnam Era Veteran of the US Army, he attained the rank of Specialist 4th Class.
Walter was employed by the former United Shoe Machine Corp. He later returned to school and received an Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy and then worked as a respiratory therapist.
He was a long time resident of Salem and Beverly. He was an avid golfer but truly loved taking care of his most precious grandchild, Asha. He enjoyed taking her to the YMCA and watching her learn ballet, tap, swimming and gymnastics. He spent time at the library reading books and teaching her new things, going on “safari’s,” watching the trains and making her delicious meals.
Walter leaves behind his only daughter, Jessica Egmont and her husband Alex, and his granddaughter Asha Egmont, all of Gloucester, his brothers, James & his wife Patricia Jaworski of Groveland, Leonard and his wife Betsy Jaworski of Haverhill, his sister Linda Parker of Beverly, his loving companion of 19 years, June Nelson of Beverly and a sister-in-law, Carol Jaworski of Beverly. He was the brother of the late John Jaworski, Jr.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 9 am at the St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in Beverly. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
