Domenic J. Fasoli, a long-time Medford resident died Sunday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was 84.
Born and raised in Boston’s North End, he was the son of the late Vincent and the late Mary (Ianessa) Fasoli. Dom served with the Army during World War II and participated in combat from the beaches of Normandy through Germany. Dom worked over 30 years as a letter carrier with the US Post Office. He enjoyed 61 years with his wife Marie. Together, they danced every Saturday night and participated in Medford’s Italian American Senior Club and the Forever Young Club.
He was the beloved husband of Marie (Volpe). He was a devoted father to Domenic and his wife Peggy of San Jose, CA and Carolyn Fasoli of Methuen. He was a loving grandfather to Kristine M. Bayliss of Newark, CA, Joseph D. DiFranco of Wakefield and Paul M. DiFranco of Peabody. He was a dear brother to Louise DeBenedictus of Revere, the late Mary DeSimone, Robert and Frank Fasoli.
His Funeral Service will be celebrated in the chapel of the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
