Nina B. (Stewart) Twiraga, 83, of Mattapoisett died February 2, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of Victor Twiraga with whom she would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on May 25, 2003.
Mrs. Twiraga was born in Charlestown, West Virginia and lived in Mattapoisett most of her life wintering in Indialantic, Florida for 18 years.
She was a former member of the Mattapoisett Congregational Church.
Mrs. Twiraga was an avid gardener, former president of the Marion Garden Club and former member of the Garden Club Federation of America. She was a member of the Mattapoisett Womens Club and enjoyed travel.
Survivors include her husband; 2 daughters, Elizabeth S. Eisenhauer of Mattapoisett and Martha K. Lorentz of Wilmington, NC; a half-sister, Betty Somerville of Parkersburg, WV; a grandson, William T. Eisenhauer of Alexandria, VA; several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd, (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett Wednesday, February 5th from 4-7 PM.
Her graveside service in Cushing Cemetery will be private.
