PORTSMOUTH, NH – Alma Naman, age 95, died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at the Edgewood Centre in Portsmouth, NH.
Born in Stamford, Connecticut, she moved to Lawrence, Massachusetts at the age of 7 and resided there until the age of 92. For many years she was the bookkeeper for Naman Pharmacal Company founded by her father who also owned Naman’s Drug Store in Lawrence, MA, next to the high school. She was a member of St. George Eastern Orthodox Church in Lawrence where she was also a member of the Women’s Guild. She was also an active member of the Quota Club of Greater Lawrence for 50 years.
She was predeceased by her brothers Alfred and Kenneth Naman and leaves her sister-in-law Jean Naman of Palm City, Florida and Hampton, NH,one niece Deborah J. and her husband Paul C. Meyer of Chappaqua, NY and Rye, NH, one nephew Alfred D. Naman of New York City,
two grandnieces and one grandnephew, and many cousins.

Family and friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:00a.m. – 10:30a.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral service will follow at 11:00a.m. at St. George Orthodox Church in Lawrence with burial in the United Lebanese Cemetery in Andover, MA.
