Obituary

Evelyn A. (DeMinico) Tringale, of Medford, died Wednesday at Sawtelle Hospice House, Reading, after a brief illness. She was 87.

Born and raised in Boston’s North End she was the daughter of the late Michael and Marguerite (LePore) DeMinico. In her early years Evelyn worked at the former Schraffts Candy in Charlestown. A Medford resident for nearly 60 years, she was foremost, a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a member of the Madonna della Cava Society of the North End.

She was the beloved wife of the late James J. Tringale. She was a devoted mother to Salvatore Tringale and his wife Lisa of Wakefield. She was a loving grandmother to Lauren and James Tringale, both of Wakefield. She was the dear sister of Mary DeMinico of Medford, the late Dr. Louis DeMinico, Dr. Charles DeMinico, Michael DeMinico and Ida Alfieri. She was the sister-in-law of Diane Harder-DeMinico of Tampa, Fla. and also leaves many nieces, nephews and friends.

Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
