Ruth J. O’Shea, 87, died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Born in Boston, she was raised in Savin Hill and was a graduate of Boston Schools. She was a resident of Stoughton for over 45 years. Miss O’Shea worked at Filene’s Basement in Boston for over 32 years, retiring in 1979. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and, most importantly, spending time with her family.
She was the sister of the late Maurice O’Shea, Margaret Whynot, Elizabeth Grant, Mary Driscoll, Christine O’Shea, Paul O’Shea and Margaret Ennis. She is survived by numerous devoted nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grandnephews, especially Mary Beth Curreri and her family of N. Easton who cared for Ruth these last two years.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 4-8 PM.
