Mary Helen Naber, 51, of Londonderry, NH, died Monday, February 4, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Naber was born in Oakland, CA on September 2, 1956, a daughter of Fred Basshaw and the late Elizabeth (Jacoby) Basshaw. She was raised in Alameda, CA and had been a resident of Londonderry for the past 25 years. Mrs. Naber was very active with the Londonderry Boy Scouts, Pack 605 and was a den mother. She was also a counselor and bus driver at Camp Winnahupe in Derry, NH for the Girl Scouts. She worked as a LNA for Integrated Health Services in Derry and for Hackett Hill Nursing Home in Manchester, NH. She also worked for the Elliot Adult Day Care at the Arbors in Bedford, NH. Mrs. Naber enjoyed camping, the outdoors and traveling.
She is survived by two sons, Keith Naber of Manchester, Kevin Naber of Londonderry, her father, Fred Basshaw of Hayward, CA, a half-brother, Forrest Basshaw of San Jose, CA, two sisters-in-law, Rose Naber of Vacaville, CA, Veronica Morgan of Clear Lake, CA, a brother-in-law, Bill Naber of Auburn, CA, as well as by many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul M. Naber in 2001.
Visiting hours were held from 3-6pm Monday, February 11, 2008 in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, with a funeral service that followed at 6:00pm. The burial will be held in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Londonderry in the spring. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to YouthStorm Inc., 44 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087.
