FALL RIVER … Dorothy (Lee) Gagne, 86, of Fall River died Sunday, February 3, 2008 after a brief illness.
She was the widow of Albert Gagne.
She died at Crawford Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Fall River.
She was born in Fall River a daughter of the late Wilfred and Mary Alice (Platt) Lee and had been a life long resident of the city.
She had been an information operator for the former New England Telephone and Telegraph now known as Verizon.
She had served in the Woman’s Army Corps during W.W.II.
Mrs. Gagne was a volunteer at Charlton Memorial Hospital for many years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She enjoyed shopping.
Survivors include a son Dana Lee Gagne of Fall River, a daughter Susan Ferguson of Adairsville, GA, 2 grandsons David Ferguson of Adairsville and C.J. Martin of Westport, 2 great grandchildren David Ferguson and Rebecca Ferguson both of Adairsville, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday 10 AM at the First Congregational Church, Rock Street, Fall River. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River. There will be no calling hours at the request of the family.
