Obituary

Worcester – Christine Albanese, 48, of Worcester formerly of Arlington died unexpectedly on Monday, February 4th in the Umass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus after being the victim of a hit and run accident.

Christine is survived by a son Patrick C. Albanese of Leominster; her father Patrick T. Albanese of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; her mother Barbara A. (Seibel) Apprille of Brookline, NH; her stepfather John F. Apprille of Arlington, MA; two brothers David J. Apprille of Arlington, MA and Brian J. Apprille and his fiancé Deborah Bernat of Escondido, CA; two sisters Barbara R. Schmelzer and her husband Raymond Sr. of Tilton, NH and Sheri – Ann G. Apprille and her partner Kerry Packard of Leominster; a nephew Raymond Schmelzer Jr.; two nieces Katie and Krysten Schmelzer and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Christine was born in Cambridge, MA and graduated from Arlington Catholic High School. She was a proud member of the St. Agnes Senior Band for several years and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Christine enjoyed baking, gardening and doing any home repairs and always enjoyed the challenge of a good puzzle. She was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed and she will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.

A funeral mass was held in St. Peter’s Church 931 Main St. Worcester. Memorial contributions in memory of Christine may be made to The Barton Center for Diabetes Education PO Box 356 North Oxford, MA 01537 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
