Josephine (Martello) Fiorello, 92, died unexpectedly February 4, at Saints Medical Center in Lowell. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis Fiorello who died in 1993.
She was born August 11, 1915, the daughter of the late Russell and Mary (Coronitti) Martello. She was born and raised in Pennsylvania and graduated with honors from Kulpmont High School.
She became a homemaker shortly after graduating and lovingly raised her family in PA. She moved to Massachusetts to be near family and became a resident of Tewksbury in 1993.
In addition to her devotion to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, she enjoyed cooking and crocheting.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Louis Jr. with his wife Nancy Fiorello of Las Vegas, NV, Joseph with his wife Denise Fiorello of Sturbridge, MA, Ronald with his wife Betul Fiorello of Tewksbury: two daughters and sons-in-law, Marian with her husband Nelson Smith of Boundbrook,N.J., Frances with her husband Thomas Yeager of Pennsburg,PA; daughter-in-law Christine (Green) Fiorello, wife of the late Raymond Fiorello; one brother Anthony Martello of Allentown PA, thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, February 7, at 9:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. in St. William's Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte 38) Tewksbury. A spring burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Merrimack Special Education Collaborative (MSEC), 40 Linnell Circle, Billerica, MA 01821, will be appreciated.
