Marjorie E. Marceau, 80, formerly of 79 Prescott Avenue died Tuesday, December 18, 2001 in the Belknap County Home after a lengthy illness.She was born in Center Harbor, NH on June 7, 1921, the daughter of Henry and Esther (Davis) Allard.
Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as an office clerk at the Laconia IGA. She later joined the staff at the Laconia State School and Training Center for ten years. She had also worked at several Weirs Beach Gift Shops following her retirement.
Mrs. Marceau was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church.
Family members include three daughters, Patricia Saulnier of Laconia, Jane Marceau of Laconia and Linda Kelley of Belmont; a son Roger L. Marceau Jr. of Laconia; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Joyce of Brooksville, FL several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be in the Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St. Friday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue Friday at 11 AM. Rev. Adrien Longchamps, Pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in Village Cemetery, Meredith. Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent dePaul Society, PO Box 6123, Lakeport NH 03247. David L. Furber and Timothy C. Molan are the funeral directors.
