Obituary

Worcester- Lilian Abisamra, 92, died on Feb. 1, 2008 in Worcester. She leaves two sons Philip J. Abisamra of Framingham and John E. Abisamra of Melrose; 5 daughters Hope E. and Esther L. Abisamra of Worcester, Susan M. Reed and her husband Ronald of Sandwich, Eugenie E. Lindblom and her husband Dennis of Holden, and Ruth M. Galuska and her husband John of Beverly, MA. She also leaves 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a brother, Dr. Noble Maluf of Lakewood, OH. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Emil J. Abisamra and a brother Emil Malouf.

Lilian was born in Cairo, Egypt, daughter of Assad and Eugenie (Wakid) Malouf. She was educated in the Cairo schools and graduated from the Manchester Art School in England. She was a member of Belmont Street Baptist Church. Lilian taught a Bible study in church, at home, and in her garage to the children from Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was an accomplished artist and enjoyed painting and sewing. Lilian was very dedicated to her family and to art. She and her husband loved to travel, especially in the Middle East and Europe.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008 at 11:00 am in Belmont Street Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are private.
