Eliseu S. Fernandes, 23, of New Bedford died January 30, 2008 unexpectedly due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Fogo, Cape Verde, the son of Jose R. and Rosa S. (Silveira) Fernandes, he lived in Boston before moving to New Bedford 5 years ago.
He was a member of the Portuguese Seventh Day Adventist Church in New Bedford.
Eliseu was employed as a construction worker.
Survivors include his parents; 2 brothers, Daniel Fernandes of New Bedford and Amaro DaSilveira of Fogo, Cape Verde; his girlfriend, Rosa Moralez of New Bedford; a sister, Eliza Fernandes of Brockton; a niece; a nephew, 11 aunts; 12 uncles; and several cousins.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Thursday, February 7th at 8 AM. Funeral Service at the Portuguese Seventh Day Adventist Church in New Bedford at 9 AM. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday, February 6th from 4-8 PM.
