Marie C. Peterson (Soares), of Duxbury, 88, passed on January 30th at the Golden Living Center in Plymouth. She is survived by her beloved husband Henry Peterson of Duxbury and her daughter Janice Cain of Kingston. She also leaves her sisters Jeanne Berard of SC and Olivia Silva of Plympton and many nieces and nephews. Mother of the late Cheryl Peterson. Mrs. Peterson attended Fall River and Plymouth schools and had worked at the Cordage Company in Plymouth. Marie was an avid sewer. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, February 8th, at St. Mary’s Church at 10 AM leaving from the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt 3A) N. Plymouth at 9 AM, followed by burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Kingston. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society – Plymouth Unit, 1115 W.
