Howard F. Johnson, 67 years of Brockton died Wednesday evening at his home surrounded by his family and friends. He was the loving husband of Connie (Fisichella) Johnson. He was born and raised in Hyde Park, a son of the late Gardner and Helen (Florenze) Johnson and had been a resident of Brockton for 13 years. During the Vietnam Conflict he served in the US Air Force. Prior to his retirement he had been a sound engineer for the Sheraton Boston Hotels. In his free time he enjoyed attending horse races and owning and appreciating classic cars. He loved doing yard work. Howie will be remembered as a generous man who was always there to help anyone.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Erik Johnson and his wife Erin of Whitman. He was the proud grandfather of EJ. He was the brother of Barbara Hart of Hyde Park; James Johnson of NH; Joseph Johnson of Hyde Park; Robert Johnson of Cape Cod, John Johnson of Hyde Park and the late Kenneth Johnson, Linda Elwood, Judith Butler and Helen Enokian. He leaves nieces and nephews and was the stepson of the late Joe Deveney
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte123) Brockton Tuesday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday 4-8pm.
