Obituary

Albert T. Titcomb, a resident of Corinth, Vermont for the last 5 years and formerly a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died at his home in Vermont after a lengthy illness. He was 81 years old.

Al was born in Lawrence on November 25, 1926. He grew up in Charlestown and attended Boston Public Schools. Al enlisted into the United States Navy on February 19, 1944. He served during World War 2 and was discharged on May 12, 1946 with the rank of Fireman First Class.He worked at Revere Sugar Refinary in Charlestown for several years and was also a landscaper for many years.

Al is the beloved husband of the late Margaret M. (Doherty) Titcomb. He is the devoted father of Lorna Cantrell of Billerica, Joseph, Albert and Richard Titcomb all of Charlestown. He is the loving grandfather of 6 grandchildren the late Albert T. Titcomb lll and also 7 great-grandchildren. He is the brother of Arthur Titcomb of Tewksbury, Richard Titcomb of New Hampshire and Douglas Titcomb of Charlestown.

Al's Funeral will be held on Monday January 28, 2008 at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours for Al will be on Sunday January 27, 2008 from 2 to 6 p.m. Cremation will take place following his Funeral Mass.
