Obituary

LOWELL - George J. Anger-Orr, 64, a lifetime resident of Lowell, was called home to God after a brief illness on Thursday, January 24th, 2008. The late Theresa M. (Beaudry) Orr was his beloved partner of 40 years. He was born in Lowell on April 6th, 1943 a son of the late Joseph Anger and late Lena (Gardine) Anger. He was the brother of the late Arthur "Archie" Anger.

George was surrounded by his family and friends in his last days. George is survived by his 4 children; his daughter Kimberly A. Orr of Lowell, "Thank you Kimberly for taking care of our Dad"; his son Robert A. Orr employed by the Galleria Day Spa and his partner Andrew Skirvin of Lowell; his daughter Darlene (Orr) Tarsa employed by the Galleria Day Spa of Lowell; and his daughter Linda (Orr) Wood employed by the Bedford VA Hospital, wife of Robert "Woody" Wood, Jr. of Chelmsford. George is also survived by his sister Leona (Anger) Lamarre and her five children of Dracut, his brother Dennis Anger and his wife Pamela (Clark) Anger and their son of Raymond, New Hampshire; and his brother Richard Anger and his wife Lorraine (Caisse) Anger and their three children of Dracut. Pep is survived by six grandchildren Michael "The King" and his wife Mindy, Tiffany, Robert "Robbie", Kerri, Jonathan and Cassi. George is also survived by four great grandchildren Travis, Makayla, Hayley, and Brody. Mr. Anger also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Mrs. Rita (Geoffroy) Beaudry of Lowell and her family. Mr. Anger leaves behind his best friend Mick McManus of Lowell and his beloved poodle Lucy.

Mr. Anger was an avid New York Yankees and New England Patriots fan. He enjoyed his Sundays with his grandson Michael to watch a game, and his Thursday nights with his brother Richie. He was a boxer as a young man. George worked in the Lowell area throughout his life, at Adden Furniture, Joann Fabrics, and Carol Shoe. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Sunday from 3 until 7 PM. His funeral will be held from the funeral home on Monday at 10 AM, followed by Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Lowell. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford. Flowers may be sent.
