Obituary

WORCESTER____Adella J. "Della" (Dambruskie) Nowosacki, 83, of 432 Harding St., died Monday January 27, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center, 20 Worcester Center Boulevard.

Her husband, Edward J. Nowosacki died in 1984.She leaves three sons, Gerald E. Nowosacki of Shrewsbury; James J. Nowosacki of Worcester and William J. Nowosacki of Lakewood, Colorado; a daughter, Deborah A. Stines of Yankee Town, Florida; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and nephews and nieces. A brother, Felix Dambruskie and a sister Julia Winkiewicz died before her. She was also predeceased by a grandchild. She was born and raised in Rutland, daughter of Felix and Petronella Dambruskie and has resided in Worcester since 1940.

Mrs. Nowosacki was a yarn store manager in Worcester for several years and retired in the early 1970's. Previously, she was a store clerk at Whitmans several years and during World War II she worked at Norton Company.

She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.

Mrs. Nowosacki was graduated from Rutland High School where she was captain of the basketball team. Also as a teenager she ran her family farm.

The funeral will be held Friday, January 31, from Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home, 33 Ward St.,(www.worcesterfuneral.com) with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Mooreland Cemetery, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 30.
