Obituary

WORCESTER: Denis B. Kelley, 95, died Monday, January 21, 2008, in Notre Dame Long Term Care Center, after a brief illness. His wife of 62 years, Elizabeth M. (Reidy) Kelley, died January 31, 2005.
He leaves two daughters, Paulette F. Kelley-Sherrill and her husband George of Holden, Maureen M. Siedlecki; a son, Denis F. Kelley, of Worcester; his sister, Mary Kelley of Ireland; three grandchildren, Hannah K. Sherrill, Michael E. and James C. Siedlecki; and many nieces and nephews. Four brothers, and his sister-in-law, Eileen M. Reidy of Worcester, all predeceased him.
He was born in Killimer, County Clare, Ireland, son of the late William and Mary (Goode) Kelley. He was an Army Veteran of WW II and lived in Worcester since 1936.
Denis worked as a millwright at Washburn Wire Company for 36 years. He then worked at New England Plating for 12 years until he retired. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. He was a great gardener and also enjoyed doing chores for his family.
A Funeral Mass was held at the convenience of the family, followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Holden, MA. There were no calling hours. The family suggests donations in memory of Denis be made to the Activities Fund of Notre Dame Long Term Care Center, 559 Plantation St., Worcester, MA 01605. KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St., is assisting the family with arrangements.
