Jennie (Morrone) Konopka,90, of Village Drive in Smithfield, a retired meat wrapper for the former Almacs in Smithfield, died Wednesday, January 23, 2008,at Hebert’s Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late William Konopka.
Born in Providence, she had been a resident of Smithfield for 29 years and had previously lived in Johnston.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Buckley and her husband, Richard of Johnston, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Arthur, Wilfred and Anita Morrone, and Fina Frances.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Visitation Monday 8-9am.
