Ellen M. (Tarka) Kennedy -66, of Marlborough, died Sunday, January 20, 2008 at the Miriam Boyd Parlin House Hospice Residence in Wayland.
She was the wife of James M. Kennedy who passed away in 1989.
She was born in Hudson, daughter of the late Andrew J. and Annie M. (Kurgan) Tarka.
Mrs. Kennedy was raised in Hudson and was a graduate of Saint Michael’s Academy in Hudson, class of 1958.
She is survived by her 3 children, James Kennedy Jr. and his wife Juliette of Grafton, Kevin Kennedy of Marlborough and Christine Moisan and her husband Andrew of Sterling. She also leaves her sister, Barbara Gustafson and her husband James of Hudson; her 2 brothers, Andrew Tarka Jr. of Leominster, Stanley Tarka of Worcester; her sister in law, Joanne Tarka of Leominster; her brother in law, John Kennedy and his wife Joan of West Roxbury; 4 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church 21 Manning Street Hudson MA. Burial will be in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend a calling hour Wednesday, Jan. 23, from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 prior to the mass.
