E. Freetown - Joan (Protin) Kendrick, 77, of E. Freetown died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on January 19, 2008, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Freetown, daughter of the late George and Dorilla (Masse) Protin, she was a lifelong resident of Freetown.
Survivors include her beloved and devoted husband of 54 years, Richard H. Kendrick; a son: Richard H. Kendrick, Jr. and his wife Robin of E. Freetown; a daughter: JoAnn Millman and her husband Peter of E. Freetown; 2 sisters: Emilie Ashley of Welaka, FL and Yvette Ashley of Berkley; 5 grandchildren: Peter Kendrick, Hillary Jellison, Jenney Fairclough, Emily Millman and Matthew Millman; 3 great grandchildren: Ethan Fairclough, Kylie Kendrick and Casey Kendrick; and many nieces and nephews.
She cherished her childhood and close friends. When she wasn’t hard at work with the family cranberry business, she enjoyed gardening and finding a good bargain shopping, but most of all, she treasured being with her family and grandchildren.
