Esther (Rosenberg) Katz, a longtime resident of Lynn, entered into eternal rest on January 20, 2008 at the Lynn Union Hospital. She was 82 years old & the wife of the late Murray Katz.
Born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Abraham & Rebecca (Katz) Rosenberg, Mrs. Katz was raised in Worcester where she attended school & graduated from high school. She dedicated her life to caring for her beloved family. Mrs. Katz was a former member of Congregation Ahavis Achim Anshe Sfard of Lynn & the Women's Auxiliary of the Jewish War Veterans Post #31 in Lynn.
Mrs. Katz was the devoted mother of Alan Katz & his wife Sheryl of GA & Irwin A. Katz & his wife Emily of Rochester, NH. She was the adored grandmother of Joshua, Rachel, & Rochelle; cherished great-grandmother of Arbrielle, Markie, & Brianna; & dear sister of Eileen O’Brien of Chelsea. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Her funeral service will be held in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq) CHELSEA on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 12:00 Noon. Rabbi Frank Waldorf will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pride of Lynn Cemetery, Lynn, MA. Memorial observance has been omitted.
