Obit Evelyn (Brill) Thorpe 88Evelyn B. Thorpe died on Saturday Jan 25th at her home in Needham. Born in Lyndon VT., Evelyn came to Needham in 1939 and graduated Needham High School in 1941. She worked at the Needham Co-Operative Bank and also the Walker School. Mrs. Thorpe was an active member of the Christ Episcopal Church of Needham and enjoyed traveling and gardening. Beloved wife of the late Joseph E Thorpe. Evelyn was the dear mother of Joseph W Thorpe of East Montpelier VT, Evelyn “Lynn” Thorpe of Marlborough, Barbara DeLuca and her husband Jerry of Needham and the late Robert L Thorpe and his wife Judith Thorpe Mangan of Holliston. Mrs. Thorpe was the sister of Lewis Brill of Sheffield VT, Nelson Brill of Lyndonville VT, Isabel Monahan of Milford N.H. the late George Brill and the late Lucille Swain. She was also the loving grandmother of Jennifer Bihuniak, Robert L Thorpe Jr., Derek J Thorpe, Abigail E Thorpe, David M DeLuca, Jessica L DeLuca and Great Grandmother of Anna Leigh Bihuniak and Lindsey G Bihuniak. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday Jan. 30th, 11:00 A.M. at the Christ Episcopal Church Chapel of Needham, 1132 Highland Ave. Needham. Visiting Hours on Wednesday from 4-7 PM at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave. Needham. Burial at the Needham Cemetery.
