Lillian I. Tenney

...active in Bowling, Bingo and the Senior Center; 84

TEWKSBURY - Lillian Irene (Holt) Tenney, age 84, a resident of Tewksbury for the past 5decades, died Sunday, Jan. 26th at the Willow Manor Nursing Center in Lowell after a briefillness. She was the wife of the late William H. Tenney Sr, who died 19 years ago.

She was born in Wakefield, Mass., a daughter of the late Frank I. And Marion J. (Anderson) Holt. She had lived in Tewksbury since the 1950's, and enjoyed summers at her cottage on Newfound Lake inBristol, NH.

She was active at various Bingo charities. In her earlier years she bowled in the Wamesit CoffeeLeague, was active in the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Post 110 in Tewksbury, and mostrecently, was active in the events at the Tewksbury Senior Drop-In Center.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Judith and her husband John McDonough ofSaugus, four sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and his wife Karen Tenney of Raymond, NH,William H. Tenney Jr. of Madison, ME, Kenneth and his wife Suzanne Tenney of Manchester,NH, Ronald and his wife Susan Tenney of Dracut, a sister, Marjorie Muise of Wakefield, 14beloved grandchildren, and 8 beloved great grandchildren.

She was also sister of the late Hazel Towle, Evelyn Holt, Marion Breeden, Mildred Donaldson,Frank "Buddy" Holt Jr., Ralph, Harold, and Walter Holt.

Her funeral was held Jan. 30, in the Tewksbury Congregational Church. Intermant was in TewksburyCemetery.

In lieuof flowers, memorials to the Greater Lowell V.N.A., Hospice Program, P.O. 1965, Lowell, MA01853 will be appreciated.
