Eva (Marble) Parkhurst Tobey-87, of Berlin, died Monday, January 14, 2008 at Marlborough Hospital in Marlborough.
She leaves her husband of 52 years, Burton H. Tobey of Berlin.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Roy Payson Marble and Flora (Parkhurst) Marble. She resided in Berlin most of her life.
She was a graduate of Peter Bent Brigham Nursing School of Boston. She was a nurse at Westborough State Hospital of Westborough before retiring. She was a member of the First Parish Church of Berlin and member of the Sweet Adelines of Central Mass.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her sister, F. Geraldine (Marble) Touchette of Troy, MI, wife of the late Albert Touchette; her brother, David R. Marble and his wife Enrica of Berlin; and her 2 nieces, Debra D. Sloan and her husband Alan of Troy, MI and Pamela A. Menzer and her husband Robert of Denver, CO.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow at North Cemetery in Berlin. Family and friends may attend calling hours Friday, Jan. 18, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
