Doris (Young) Adams, of Delray Beach, Florida, formerly of Cambridge and Medford, died Friday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford, after a long illness. She was 80.
Mrs. Adams was born and raised in Cambridge, the daughter of the late William L. and the late Mary A. (Dinan) Young.
A long time, active Cambridge resident, Doris worked for many years at the Middlesex County Registry of Deeds. After her retirement, she moved to Delray Beach, Florida, where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Doris was predeceased by her husband Paul R. Adams. She is survived by her two daughters: Suzanne Murphy and Sandra Sodano and her husband Stephen, all of Medford. She also leaves 5 loving grandchildren and 12 loving great grandchildren. She was the loving grandmother of the late William R. De Lellis.
Friends may visit Monday from 4 thru 8 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford, Tuesday at 9 AM.
