Ina M. (Gold) Kates, 70, died Sunday, January 12 at her home. Born in Boston, she was raised in Dorchester and was a graduate of Boston Schools. Mrs. Kates was a resident of Canton for many years. She was a homemaker. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling to see her family, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Ellen Simonds-Jung and her husband Hal of GA, Michael Krous and his wife Neri of Brighton and Shari Kates of AZ. She was the Beloved Daughter of Barbara (Klayman) of Brockton and the late Harry Gold. She was the Loving Sister of Stephen Gold and his wife Elaine of Taunton. She is also survived by her 4 grandsons Rory Simonds, Warren Krous, Paul Jung and Frankie Fredericks and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She will be missed by many and remembered by all.
