Robert K. Towne, 85, of Giordani Lane, Sandown, NH died Thursday January 23, 2003 at the Integrated Health Services of Derry. He was born in Newburyport, MA on March 17, 1917, a son of the late Sydney and Ethel (Kendall) Towne. He was a resident of Sandown, NH since 1968, formerly living in Everett, MA. He owned and operated his own metal spinning business for 65 years. He was an avid league bowler at Park Place Bowling Lanes, Windham, NH. He was a member of the Calvary Bible Church, Derry, NH. He was predeceased by his wife Alva M. (Penney) Towne in 1997.
He is survived by one daughter Carol A. (husband Al) Hussey, Newburyport, MA two sons, Richard N. (wife Dee Dee) Towne, Hampstead, NH, Phil J. (wife Marilyn) Towne, Sandown, NH, seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 28th at 10:00am at the Calvary Bible Church, Hampstead Road, Derry, NH with cremation to follow. Burial will be at Center Cemetery, Sandown in the spring. Friends may call on Monday from 2 –4 and 7 – 9 at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry.
