Obituary

Joseph F. McNiff, 88, of Dayville, CT, formerly of Greenville, a cartographer for Defense Mapping Agency in West Warwick before retiring in 1980, died Sunday, January 13, 2008, at Westview Health Care in Dayville, Connecticut. He was the husband of the late Marjorie (Feeley) McNiff.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late James & Mary (Masterson) McNiff. He had been a resident of Greenville before moving to Dayville two yeas ago.
He was a WWII Navy veteran. He had previously worked for the FBI in Providence and the Boston offices.
He is survived by a daughter Marcia E. McNiff of Shenandoah Junction, WV, a son, Bernard W. McNiff and his wife, Diane of Woodstock, CT, two granddaughters Katie and Keri McNiff and two brothers Thomas McNiff of Warwick and William McNiff of North Kingstown. He also leaves a large extended family of nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late James McNiff.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:30am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to The Bradley Playhouse, 30 Front Street, Putnam, CT 06260
