Obituary

WORCESTER-Mary H. (Blake) Miron, 94, formerly of Calumet Ave., died Sunday, January 13 in St. Francis Home. Her husband of 57 years, Marvin C. Miron died in 1994. She leaves a son, Robert L. Miron with whom she lived; two daughters, Arlene H. Packard of Shrewsbury and Barbara J. Verdini of Worcester; a brother, Thomas Blake and a sister Estelle Blake, both of Worcester. She also leaves fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two daughters, Marie E. St. John in 1975 and Elizabeth A. Green in 2007 and four sisters, Mildred, Olive, Rita and Miriam.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of Frank and Olive (Rocheford) Blake and worked at Barnard’s Department Store for many years. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church and enjoyed sewing and playing bingo.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 19 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 25 Fales Street. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting hours are Friday, January 18 from 5:00-8:00 PM in the funeral home.
