WORCESTER-Helen C. (McCarthy) O’Leary, 90, of Worcester, died Saturday, January 12th in Holy Trinity Eastern Orthodox Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Her husband of 36 years, Joseph D. O’Leary died in 1983. She leaves two sons, James J. O’Leary of South Dennis and Stephen D. and his wife, Mary O’Leary of Milford; her daughter, Denise M. O’Leary of Worcester; her grandson Michael O’Leary of Milford; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her son Michael J. O’Leary, two brothers, John and Paul McCarthy; four sisters, Margaret Francis, Mary McCarthy, Agnes Wright and Ann Hickey.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of John D. and Julia (Sullivan) McCarthy. Mrs. O’Leary was a graduate of Commerce High School and Becker College. She had been a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
The funeral is Tuesday, January 15th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:30 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 9:00 until 10:00 the morning of the funeral in the funeral home.
