Harold Weaver Jr., 82, of Framingham died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, at the Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital in Westborough.
He was the former husband of Elizabeth S. (Morton) Weaver of Framingham.
Born in Hamden, Conn., he was a son of the late Harold and Vivi W. (Petraus) Weaver, was raised in West Halifax, Vt., and had lived in Framingham for many years.
Until his retirement, he worked as a mechanic for more than 32 years at the former Continental Baking Co. (Wonder Bread), in Natick.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Tec/4 and was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged in March 1948.
He was a member of the Framingham Eagles, Framingham Senior Citizens and the American Association of Retired Persons.
He leaves his daughter, Karen W. Todd and her husband, Scott, of Franklin; a sister, Hink Nolan of Akron, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Daniel, Christopher and Andrew Todd.
He was also the father of the late Thomas Weaver.
A memorial service with military honors will take place Saturday, Jan. 26, at 11 a.m., at Plymouth Church, 87 Edgell Road, Framingham.
Burial will be private.
Donations in his memory may be sent to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham.
