Barbara (Millman) Kaplan, a lifelong resident of Chelsea, entered into rest on January 10, 2008. She was the beloved wife of the late David Kaplan who died in 2001.
Born in Chelsea, the daughter of the late Isadore & Nellie (London) Millman, Mrs. Kaplan was raised & educated in Chelsea where she graduated from Chelsea High School. She was employed as a credit manager for the Boyd, Dalton, & Church Insurance Agency of Boston. Mrs. Kaplan was a loving & dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, & friend of many. She enjoyed reading & spending time with her family.
She is survived by her devoted & loving son, Neal Kaplan & his wife Judith of Kissimmee, FL; her grandchildren, Lauren Niemeyer & her husband Sean & Jay Kaplan all of NJ; her sister, Phyllis Salloway of Brookline, & her brother, Gerald Millman of Chelsea. She was the sister of the late Sidney Millman.
Funeral services will be held in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq) CHELSEA on Sunday, January 13, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Rabbi Nochum Cywiak of Cong. Agudas Shalom & Cong. AAA Sfard will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mishna Cemetery, Fuller St. Everett. Contributions in Mrs. Kaplan's memory may be made to a charity of one's own choosing.
