Obituary

Bridgewater- William Thomas "Tom" Alfieri, March 31, 1944 to Jan. 3, 2008.

It is with loving memory that the death of Tom Alfieri on Jan. 3, 2008, is announced. Tom died of complications resulting from his long battle with diabetes. Tom was 63 years of age.

Tom was the only child of Samuel T. Alfieri of Brockton and Marjorie (Case) Alfieri of Bridgewater.

Tom lived most of his life in his hometown of Bridgewater. Tom was a 1962 graduate of Bridgewater-Raynham High School.

During his school years, he was a member of the baseball and football teams.

Following his graduation, he joined his father's cabinet making business.

Although he continued to work in fine cabinetry and finish carpentry throughout his life, Tom also worked for many years in the local trucking industry.

He was employed as a truck driver for local businesses, including Gil-Bern, Lucini Trucking and Bridgewater Recycling.

He was an avid and versatile reader, but his greatest times usually involved a ride on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

His hobbies included music and travel. He was a lifetime member of the East Bridgewater Commercial Club.

He is survived by family and a wide range of devoted friends, who remember him in laughter, song and particularly Tom's penchant for the dryest of uncloaked commentary and wit.
